Stralsund-Peenemunde-Kröslin-Wolgat-Ueckermünde

Asparagus Time in northern Germany. Stralsund offered the best spargel. Of course bratwurst as well. Left Stralsund for Peenemunde. Peenemunde is the place where Werner Von Braun developed the V2 the liquid fuel rocket and he later was part of US space program. But Peenemumde had not more to offer than the Rakete museum. Left for Kröslin in the hope of finding a hot shower but only found diesel which was fine becos we were nearly empty. So on to Wolgast. Owned by Sweden from 1726 to 1850. Typical architecture for this area. The old town areas are beautiful. Asparagus again. Margaret and Dan left by train and we decided to travel to Ueckermunde after consulting GPS which said that the trip would take 3 hours across a part of Stettin sea. Haha it took 5 hours in rain and wind and waves. Now in Ueckermunde in a Brauhaus eating spargel. Photos to follow.
