While waiting in 8 hours for the ferry sat in the lovely Durrell park reading. The Durrell brothers lived here in the 30's.

Hello Italy, port of Baria. Took 5 hours and 3 trains to get to Santa Maria Leuce. Lot of contradicting information but also a lot of good natured involvement from the other passengers.

Santa Maria Leuce at last! The Marina is right next to Mussolini 's fountain.

What a place. Apparently they let the water run a few times a year. Fountain built by Mussolini in 1941. But there is no trace of him anymore.
