Marina di Cassano to Base Nautical Flávio Gioia 11 July.

After a delicious meal, spaghetti for some and risotto for others, at a restaurant in the Marina, we had a relatively early night. Dinner at 9.30 and bed at midnight. 

Started a bit later than usual, 07.25 on our way to Gaeta and the Base Nautical Flavio Gioia. This is a 7 hour trip with good calm seas, except for the last two hours when it got too choppy for Leslie, but no problem for Carl and Pete.

Crossed the bay of Naples and passed the island Procida with Ischia in the background.

Arrived at the lovely town of Gaeta and found a good berth, great bathrooms, wifi and a laundry nearby. Saturday night, time to party! Sausages on board with salad and wine. 

The Gaeta sailing club is this year the host for European championship in Star boat.
