The speed was good but you have to be on constant look out for drift wood.

We have seen the May pole all over Bayern. It's a giant Xmas tree that has been stripped and then decorated in Swedish May Pole fashion. The villages try to steal the May pole from one another. In case of successful stealing the losing village will have to buy it back at the cost of free food and drink for the weekend. It could be very costly.

There was a 50 year birthday party for one of the local heroes. The hunting team fired 5 rounds with all kinds of fancy guns following a strict ritual. Looked like weapons from the 30 year war. Maybe Swedish?
Took a walk along the river after dinner and met a group of local yocals all looking up the river. We asked them what they were looking at and they answered die schiff. We thought typical locals but it turned out that about 6 tourist boats were all heading to a fireworks display further down the river. It was quite a sight seeing all these schiff all lit up gliding down the river. Later that evening when they returned at full speed and we were already in bed the swell they caused was something I had not experienced before. I do not think we will tie up unprotected at the side of the river again.
