Early morning walk along the old harbour spotted some strange figures, on the building and one the bridge.

Only realised this morning the destruction caused by last nights storm. Four people were killed by falling trees in Düsseldorf. The whole city is full of branches, trees, roof tiles and broken pots. Wind speed measured 150 km/hr. Apparently the waves in our very protected harbour were 1.5 m high. We were at a restaurant when this enormous black cloud started rolling in and people stared saying that it was the end of the world. A wind suddenly came howling down the street so everyone moved indoors. We spent the rest of the evening oblivious to what was happening outside
